With this epidemic of Coronavirus, the world is really going through difficult times. It is hard to imagine that just a few weeks ago, everything that is happening to us as I’m writing this article seemed unimaginable.
According to the media, it all started with just a few persons, then, little by little, the rest of the world began to experience the same nightmare.
Today, when many people are being affected or have been affected by Covid-19, our entire thoughts are with them and with their loved ones.
We pray that these difficult times will pass as quickly as possible so that we can all return to a normal life, far from confinement, anxiety, and fear.
If you want to know more about this Coronavirus (Covid-19), I recommend checking the World Health Organization’s website for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
While I spend most of my time locked up at home with my kids like many citizens of the world, it suddenly comes to my mind a desire to escape, to be free and to travel.
I want to breathe fresh air from the outside again, to spend time with my friends and relatives.
But as you know, we must respect the recommendations of the authorities and avoid going out if it is not necessary.
While waiting for the Coronavirus pandemic to end, I thought of the places I would like to visit when the Covid-19 lets us go out again.
But before going to the other side of the world, I realized that I live in Paris; one of the most beautiful cities in the world, but that I don’t really take the time to visit this city.
Maybe that’s your case too. You live somewhere but you never really take the time to take advantage of your beautiful city or country because you’re always too busy doing too many other things.
And yet, in Paris, there is so much to see, do and visit. For example, you can spend your time enjoying the beautiful gardens of the Palais Royal or the gardens of the Tuileries.
You can just sit down at a cafe, have a little coffee with your friends and watch the world go by.
These are simple little things, but we don’t really take the time to appreciate them because life goes by too fast and because we give too much importance to useless things.
With Coronavirus, now I look at things differently. I want to take the time to appreciate the things around us. And appreciate how lucky I am to stay confined to my home with my family.
I appreciate how lucky I am to live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
A self-drive tour around the ancient streets of Paris will surely be a memorable experience for everyone who wants to escape from their everyday life.
I can say without a doubt that Paris is one of the cities that you should visit at least only once in your lifetime. Once you are here, you will be able to meet some old friends and make new ones.
However, if you are looking for an easy and exciting trip, the tours of La Place de la Concorde, Paris would be suitable for you. If you want to have a more adventurous experience, the high-speed train tour is a great option for you.
You can enjoy the opulent interiors of the Eiffel Tower as well. I’ll introduce you to this fantastic monument later in this article, so keep reading.
All these things you will discover in Paris will not only leave you breathless but will leave you in a complete mood of admiration in regard to the “French lifestyle”.
The activities and tourist attractions that take place around La Place de la Concorde, le Musée du Louvre or on the Champs-Elysées Avenue are just enough reasons for a quick trip to Paris.
It is a popular vacation destination so if I were you I would start planning my trip as soon as today.
If like me, you too would like to visit Paris one day, in my opinion, you will find below the top 10 places and monuments that you should definitely visit if you are lucky enough to come to Paris when the Coronavirus is finished and when we have the right to travel again.
10 Places and monuments to visit in Paris after the Coronavirus pandemic lockdowns
Let’s discover them…
1 – La tour Eiffel (Eiffel Tower)
Source: Pexels.com
You will agree with me that Paris would not be Paris without the Eiffel Tower, right?
One of the most significant attractions in Paris is the Eiffel Tower, which was named the most beautiful in the world. It is quite a spectacular sight, made even more appealing by the fascinating site that makes up the garden atop it.
A tour of the Eiffel Tower will be an interesting thing to do, as well as give a good opportunity to view the marvel of Paris.
The Eiffel Tower is a structural masterpiece and you absolutely must visit it at least once in your life.
I’m’ not just telling this because I live in Paris. But because I really want you to discover what is considered by many experts as one of the most visited monuments in the world.
The whole thing was constructed out of one single piece of timber, of which there are twenty-three thousand six hundred and sixty-three parts.
The tower is so tall that it required thirty thousand joints to be created in order to construct it. Can you just imagine that?
There are two steel trusses supporting the entire structure, which is made of twenty-four windows.
The four hundred and forty-two-foot spire that is situated on top of the tower is a great attraction, as well as a great source of pleasure for many people.
The first part of a tour of the Eiffel Tower begins at the entrance gate of the park. I remember when I first visited Paris when I was at school, we took lots of pictures in and from this park and I still have these memorable photos until today.
There is an observation deck that is available that allows you to see the tops of the buildings. You can also look down at the garden that sits atop the structure.
This is part of the attraction, and the view up the side of the tower is probably the best view possible.
You can also go in and out of the towers, though it is recommended that you do not get off the deck during the day, as it is very slippery.
The second part of the tour takes you around the garden.
The third part of the tour is where you can go inside the spire. This is the part that gives you a chance to take a look at the building.
Some of the pillars are real, and some are replicas. The replica ones were specially made. This is where most of the original pieces come from.
A fourth part of the tour is at the gardens, which are located in a scenic part of the Eiffel Tower Park. Here, you can view some of the original pieces.
You can also visit the botanical garden, which is home to many different kinds of flowers. The long list of plants is impressive, and these are the ones that you would find in the real garden.
The final part of the tour takes you back up to the park, which is named “Les Invalides.” The Eiffel Tower, which is a hundred and seventy meters high, is on top of this building.
This is the most photographed spot in Paris, as it is the largest structure in all of Europe. There are other interesting locations that you can visit while visiting the Eiffel Tower, and they are easily within walking distance from the building.
How to visit la Tour Eiffel from le Trocadero
As soon as you arrive in Paris, you’ll have the chance to enjoy a meal in one of the restaurants in the same neighborhood, then head on out to the popular Eiffel Tower and enjoy some great time there.
An exciting day would be having a little walk around the place of Trocadero, a tourist place not far away from the Eiffel Tower.
It’s a short distance from the tower so you don’t even need to take the metro to get there.
Traveling in Paris will also give you an insight into the atmosphere of the French capital, as well as that of Paris itself.
If you want to visit La Tour Eiffel from le Trocadero, you can do so by making use of the self-drive parking and taxi services that are provided for visitors to the French capital.
If you take the Eiffel Tower tour the entire day, it is possible to visit the famous Arc de Triomphe (another famous place to visit).
All of Paris is included in this monument, as well as many of the nearby shops, restaurants and of course, the Eiffel Tower itself.
If you stay for a couple of days, you can visit some of the best shops and boutiques in the city. What more could you ask for?
You can visit (la tour Eiffel) all year long. But make sure to place this destination among your favorite destinations to visit after the Coranavirus crisis.

The City of Light as people like to call Paris is also an attraction for travelers from all over the world, with the World Trade Center, as well as the Statue of Liberty, being some of the more famous landmarks in this UNESCO world heritage site.
The Arc de Triomphe is the central landmark on the Avenue Royale. The highlight of this spectacular structure is that it is built into a three-sided shape, which includes two higher areas and a lower one.
Most visitors have a very common thought about this design: it looks like a triangle!

Paris is one of the most visited cities in the world, so if you travel abroad, you should not worry about your accommodation either. You can find cheap hotels in Paris, or you can just book a room with Airbnb. The choice is really yours.

I told you that already but let me repeat it again. Paris is the capital of France and is one of the most beautiful places to visit in the world.

It is known for its intricate carvings and remains a popular destination for tourists from all over the world.

The best time of the year to visit Le Sacré Coeur is during the springtime because it is extremely beautiful. In the summer, you will still get to enjoy the beautiful place but in my opinion, during summer there are far more visitors so if you don’t like the mass, this can be less fun.
Some of the other times of the year that you might visit the lake are during the winter because there is not as much sun exposure that you will get in the summertime.

6 – La Place de la Concorde
La Place de la Concorde is another great place you absolutely need to visit if you’re considering coming to Paris.
The visit to this Place de la Concorde is a great way to enjoy beautiful Paris. It is considered as the city’s former palace that is now a heritage site of this city. It can be visited at any time of the year, regardless of whether you are on vacation or just need some romantic luxury in Paris with your loved one to take your mind off the normal activities of life.
La Place de la Concorde was constructed in the 12th century and was originally built for the royal family. The building is part of the infamous Chartres Palace, which was one of the most luxurious palaces in the world at that time.
Today, it houses many historical sites and museums and is filled with treasures from the rich and famous. The heritage of this building is evident in many of the buildings found inside the grounds.
Visitors can find exquisite artworks and mementos scattered throughout the grounds. It is said that the paintings were drawn by Leonardo da Vinci himself. This museum is also where the remains of the old chateau, that was originally built by Charles VII, are kept.
This Place de la Concorde is full of romance as many places and monuments in Paris. You can find classic architecture mixed with beautiful terracotta bricks. You can see antique restaurants and cafes along with the old palaces.
While visiting this place, you can also observe the bazaar, where there are several vendors offering various items to tourists. There are also antique stores to buy souvenirs, tools, and pottery. There are also water fountains to keep yourself cool in the hot summer but I don’t recommend you go swim there.
Each year, there are many events and festivals held at the place since the Champs-Elysées are just there. The Tour de France and the Défilé du 14 Juillet; the French national day, also take place there.
The climate and weather conditions are ideal for visitors during the summer. During this season, you can visit the Roman Coliseum, which used to be the home of gladiators. A series of musical events are held here, featuring the voices of famous composers and poets.
If you are thinking of romantic luxury, visiting beautiful places and gardens à la française, then the place would be ideal for you.
You can enjoy the romantic ambiance of the place while having a break from your busy schedule. The majestic grandeur of Paris will make you want to come back for more.
7 – La Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris (Notre Dame Cathedral)
Source: pixabay.com
Maybe like me, you still have this horrible image of the Notre Dame Cathedral in flames. Yes, in the case some have already forgotten, a few months ago Paris almost lost one of its most beautiful monuments.
Indeed, the Cathedral almost completely disappeared in the smoke.
Even if this horrible image of the Church of Notre Dame has marked many Parisians who were also afraid of losing one of their most beautiful jewels, I want to reassure you immediately that: no! Notre Dame Cathedral has not disappeared in the smoke.
Thanks to the heroic actions of a few people, including the famous Paris firefighters, this historic monument was saved.
Now it is being restored so that tourists from around the world can continue to visit it. How lucky is that?

Deciding to visit Notre-Dame de Paris for your next vacation is an excellent choice, believe me.
As you’ll discover as soon as you get there, this is one of the best and most popular tourist attractions in Paris and maybe in France.
Not only will you be able to see Notre Dame for yourself, but you’ll also be able to enjoy the rest of the city and many other monuments and historic places.
Just make sure that you have the appropriate shoes and a guide to make the most of this beautiful and historic city.
If you’re traveling in Paris for the first time, it is a good idea to visit not only the church itself but also this Saint-Denis attraction together, and all the “Île de la Cité”. This is because there are several points of interest located in this place.
For example, in addition to being a church from 1345, the Notre-Dame de Paris is also an important place of worship for the various Christian denominations.
Since so many religions have their services held here, it makes a great location for a wedding, a graduation party, or even a church service.
The church and many stores that are around can also serve as a “place of souvenirs”, where you can purchase popular souvenirs and books you’ll be able to share with your friends and family members when you go back home.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re visiting Notre-Dame de Paris for business or pleasure. I’m 100% sure that you’ll fall in love with everything you’ll discover.

8 – L’Avenue des Champs Elysées (The Champs Elysees)
Source: pixabay.com
The Champs Elysées is a well know and famous avenue of Paris. It’s one of the most romantic and attractive places to visit, especially if you’re planning to visit France with your loved one.
Since Paris is the city of fashion, you’ll quickly notice its best attractions and many shopping stores, such as “La boutique du Paris Saint Germain”, “the Louis Vuitton store”, etc.
For many people, Champs-Elysées is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the world. The garden of Champs Elysees is unique on its own and one cannot imagine it without walking the streets of Paris.
One can spend hours or even days shopping in the high-end boutiques of Champs Elysees. So make sure to take some extra money with you, just in case.
Shopping in this fashion city is usually expensive, even for the French themselves. However, you should also consider the fact that the products are made in France and that there are of the best quality you can find.
Prices are higher here but that is not the only reason why people opt for shopping in this fashion city. It’s because people know that when they buy something, they can be assured that they invested in something that is “Made in France”.
Paris, like Milan, London, Tokyo, or New-Yor, has a rich cultural heritage, which comes from the old fashions. There are many tourists in the Champs Elysees each year and if you’re lucky enough, you can even come across some celebrities there. But of course, I can’t guarantee you anything.
There are many excellent cafes in the Champs Elysees, which serves excellent food as well as great coffee. The Champs Elysees’ nightlife is not an exception, as there are several clubs and pubs which are available in this fashion city.
The beautiful Eiffel Tower, which we discussed above, and the elegant facade make it a magnificent place to visit. So, in a nutshell, the Champs Elysees is a remarkable destination in terms of shopping because of its numerous stores.
It is very interesting to explore the architecture of Baron Haussmann; one of the greatest architects behind the rebuilding of Paris.
9 – Palace of Versailles

Versailles is one of the most historic places in the history of France.
The Palace of Versailles is a French show home that was built by Louis XIV. It is the largest palace ever built in Europe. It is located in Versailles, not far away from Paris. It was built for King Louis XIV after he conquered all of France in 1688.
The palace was originally called the Garden Palace but it was later renamed after the King’s grand dame who owned it.
The building was designed to be the perfect place for entertaining and was constructed in colonial Mexico. Many people in the world know the palace as Versailles.
The palace was named after Louis’ love and created to be her playground. The palace is a private home that was built in the eighteenth century. Many visitors want to visit the palace but the price to get into the palace is very expensive.
The Versailles show home was created to be the place where Louis and Marie Antoinette spent their summers during their first years of marriage. The garden palace was built for Queen Marie Antoinette.
The Versailles castle is another part of the palace. It has beautiful gardens, fountains, and an outdoor swimming pool. When visiting the Palace of Versailles, you can take a trip through the gardens, visit the palace, and take a ride in the horse-drawn carriage.
Visiting the Chateau de Versailles will take you back to the past of French history while living in the 21st century.

10 – Disneyland Paris
Source: pixabay.com
I wanted to keep this one for last. I just noticed that my article is getting too long so let me finish with Disneyland Paris because if you come to Paris and you don’t go to Disneyland, in my opinion, you’ll miss something. Except if you’re not a fan of Mickey, of course!
Disneyland Paris is the perfect holiday destination for families with children. It’s a very family-friendly place and it has lots of activities that will keep kids occupied all day long.
A family trip to Disneyland Paris can be the perfect getaway for everyone in your family. It can be more than just a trip; it can be a vacation that you can share together as a family.
You can spend a day on your family visit to Disneyland to enjoy the rides, parades, live entertainment, and other fun activities that the theme park has to offer.
You can even take a break from the fun by hitting the concession stands and the restaurants.
You can also take your kids to see some of the puppet shows or sit down and watch the live entertainment, or simply walk around and admire the sights. Make sure that you have plenty of water to stay hydrated while you’re there.
If you are traveling with your family it is wise to buy a ticket that lets you ride Disneyland’s Family Fun Cars rides all the way around the park, or you may purchase a ticket that lets you go to both attractions.
Your Disneyland Paris theme park trip will not only have lots of fun, but it will also give you the opportunity to see a little bit more about Paris itself.
You’ll want to make sure that you have plenty of time to really soak up the culture of this fascinating city. You’ll find it quite interesting and educational, and you will surely be able to learn a lot from the books and the souvenirs that you buy.
Of course, the food that you eat and the shopping experience that you have will depend on where you travel to Disneyland Paris. Some places will offer you a wide variety of foods while others offer you a very limited selection.
Just a pro tip. If you’re planning to visit Disneyland with your kids, buying foods and drinks all day long can quickly become expensive.
What I do when I go there with my family is that we bring our own food and sandwiches from home. It’s just another way to save some money so we can have more fun without worrying about what we’re going to eat.
Once you are in Disneyland Paris, you should try to make the most of your time there. It’s easy to get there with the RER A (Paris’ suburban), and you also have lots of hotels there, so you won’t have any problem with accommodations.
And that’s it!
